Mother Day Gift Ideas

I know we all haven’t forgotten that Mother’s Day is this Sunday, which means we’ve all been on the hunt for the perfect gift that screams mom! But if you’re like me, you’re a procrastinator or broke; and in my case, I’m both!

While I live in the same state as my mom, I will be unable to visit her and I wanted my gift to be easily shippable. Which is why I’m debating gifting my mom perfume or a big bouquet of flowers. I’ve noticed a ton of cute farmhouse-styled flower pots and I know that will be something my mom would love! But…if you’re thinking about gifting your mom perfume this Mother’s Day, go shop at Sephora because they’re offering 5X the reward points on fragrance purchases now through May 12th. & check out my recommendations below on which perfumes I think most moms would enjoy!

  • Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb ($30 – $215): This is a staple when it comes to high-end perfumes. I continuously get samples of this scent in my Sephora Play box and I really love how it sits on my skin! The ket notes on this bad boy are,

Fragrance Family:
Warm & Spicy

Scent Type:
Warm & Sweet Gourmands

Key Notes:
Jasmine, Orange Blossom, Patchouli

  • Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Nectar ($32 – $170): This smells similar to the original but with a muskier tone. I think it smells nice and it works perfectly with my skins chemistry, however, my boyfriend prefers the original one to this.

Fragrance Family:
Warm & Spicy

Scent Type:
Warm & Sweet Gourmands

Key Notes:
Osmanthus, Orange Blossom, Gun Powder Accord

  • Viktor & Rolf Bonbon ($68 – $158): I promise this is the last V&R perfume on the list and this is another great option for mom because of it’s sweet nature.

Fragrance Family:
Floral

Scent Type:
Fruity Florals

Key Notes:
Caramel, Mandarin, Orange Blossom

  • Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium ($29 – $145): If your mom is into darker/spicier scents than you need to run not walk to your nearest store. I am completely obsessed with this scent because it’s light enough for the daytime but the PERFECT scent the for a night out on the town. This scent continues to be my favorite perfume time and time again.

Fragrance Family:
Warm & Spicy

Scent Type:
Warm & Sweet Gourmands

Key Notes:
Black Coffee, White Flowers, and Vanilla

  • Yves Saint Laurent Mon Paris ($29 – $124): This is such a sophisticated scent and every time I’ve worn it, I’ve felt so high-class. I think it’s also a really great scent to chose because this is another scent that can be worn during the day and evening.

Notes:
Strawberry, Raspberry, Bergamot, Calone, Pear, Orange Flower, Jasmin Sambac, White Peony, Datura, Patchouli, White Musk, Ambrox, Cedarwood, Crystal Moss.
Style:
Passionate. Sensual. Sophisticated.

  • Maison Margiela – REPLICA Sailing Day ($28 – $126): I recevied this scent in a Sephora Play box and I am completely obsessed with this scent! It’s actually really hard to describe but the main word I can think of is fresh but with a little extra something.

Fragrance Family:
Fresh

Scent Type:
Fresh Aquatics

Key Notes:
Aquatic Accord, Coriander, Red Seaweed Essence

  • Marc Jacobs Fragrances Daisy Eau So Fresh ($24 – $114): This is the first fragrance I ever purchased for myself and because of that it will always hold a special place in my heart. Not only does it hold this sentimental value to me, but it’s my boyfriend’s favorite scent as well. It could be because this scent works really well with my skins chemistry, but it just smells so fresh and amazing for spring/summer.

Fragrance Family:
Floral

Scent Type:
Fruity Florals

Key Notes:
Red Raspberry, Wild Rose, Warm Plum
